A little bit purple

So in the spirit of full disclosure, I have to tell you that I voted about half Republican and half Democrat with a few Libertarians thrown in for good measure.

Mister is 100% Republican and actually told me a few minutes ago that if I didn’t vote 100% Republican too than I’m an idiot.  So I flipped him off and left the room.

Which is a lovely way to end the evening.  I had just gotten back from going on exchanges with the sister missionaries (always nice).

My husband gets very emotional about politics.  You have no idea the torture it’s going to be for the next four years listening to how much he hates Obama.  I’m already sick of it and he’s not even in office yet!

  1. Ah, but did you only vote Democrat where there wasn’t a Republican candidate (or any other candidate)–like half the ballot here in Austin? I think it only really counts if you choose a Dem OVER a Rep!! Does God still kill kitties if there is no one else to vote for? (chuckle-chuckle)

Your real test will be to help vote Obama in for a second term because, as it turns out, you will love him 😉

I’m kidding, you don’t know me so this might be annoying.

    btw–good use of the finger!

  2. Good for you! Good for actually thinking about who you want to vote for and what they might stand for rather than just voting straight party. I can’t even imagine a person who thinks they can vote straight party and end up with good honorable people every time.

  3. I will admit that I didn’t vote straight party either.

There were a couple of candidates that were in the other party but would do a better job!

  4. My husband (when we were engaged) told me he wouldn’t marry me if I wasn’t registered Republican! So I feel your pain! (the pain that causes your middle finger to just fling up uncontrollably like that! ;D)

  5. I voted purple too-and I confessed that evening. I, too, married a guy who tivos the State of the Union and Yells at the TV during cspan.

BTW, he has voted democrat before too, but don’t tell anyone.
