Super Horrid

Well, it’s another Makeupless Monday.  I’m very sorry but this weekend has been hellish.  Mister found out on Friday that he will be losing his job.

Suck, suck and double suck.

Please remember us in your prayers.  Hopefully we’ll find a job soon and in the meantime we’ll be happy, strong and positive (and not too broke).

Next week I promise we’ll talk about makeup!

P.S. If you know anyone who’s hiring a Creative Director/ Director of Marketing here in Austin, let me know! If you help my husband find a job I’ll make you all the cookies and cakes your little heart desires.

  1. Blah!!! I'm so sorry, we've been there 3 times now in the last 5 years… but there's always another job waiting, for better or worse. You can do this!!! Unemployment really is fun for a little while too. You know what else is fun? Blogging through it!! We'll be be here!

    PS you're not pregnant right? That's what get's us laid off… 😉

  2. I'm so sorry to hear the bad news. We went through that 8 years ago and I know how tough it can be, especially (in our case anyway) for the husband. I believe it will all work out though and will add your family to my prayer list. Here's hoping for good news soon!
P.S. I had to laugh when I read rocketgirl's comment. I was pregnant with our 5th child when my husband was laid off. It's funny now 🙂

  3. You already know how sorry for you I am. You've been on my mind all weekend. But I'll say it again, I'm so sorry!

  4. Oh, that's terrible! I'm so sorry. I will certainly pray for you–I'm sure it will all work out.

Have him register with LDSjobs.org. It's a really good site.

  5. Sucks, blows and bites!

You're in my prayers (including my prayer that you'll still be able to come to the retreat!)

  6. Oh, crap. I'm so sorry. He liked his job a lot, too, right? Ugh, what rottenness. I hope he finds a great job SOON.

  7. Double suck for sure. I will send up a prayers for you guys too. I will ask my dad if he knows anything, but since "retiring" to be a stay at home dad he is a little out of the loop.
