Yes, I saw it

I went to see Twilight on opening night.  Yes, I liked the books. They were very addictive.  Kind of the literary equivalent of a candy circus peanuts.  Yummy, but not filling. Good every once in a while, but not too often. The movie was pretty much like the book.

The social aspect was extremely fun; We had a great time at the movies and an even better time at dinner afterwards.  I haven’t laughed that much in ages.

If you want to see photos, go to Kelly’s blog. She was the ringleader of the whole thing. Scroll to the bottom and there’s a picture of Mister and me–stuffing my mouth with popcorn (I was having a phenomenally bad hair day. Can you say limp?)

  1. Like yourself, I went to see it with a girlfriend, and we, had a great time.
However, I thought the movie was AWFUL. I, and several other people in the theater, were laughing out loud at all the WRONG times. Honestly, if Edward wasn’t so pleasant to look at, (in the scenes he wasn’t clown white pasty) I would have walked out.
Did they find some graduate student to direct this thing? The makeup? Please. The music wasn’t even good.
    Anyone else agree?

  2. Okay, so YOU are the reason I’ve been getting comments from people I don’t know. Someone named Ben left a comment about you that you might want to see.

  3. So I finally caved and read Twilight last week. It was all right. A lot better than a lot of teen trash that’s out there, no doubt. Interesting story. Likeable characters. Pretty mediocre writing which I find really distracting. I actually thought as I was reading it that it would make a better movie than book, but maybe I was wrong? I’m not sure I’ll be able to convince Ben to go see it with me.

  4. Well, did you go see it again last night (Monday) or what? How was it the second time? And thanks for shedding some light about your little bro.

  5. 2 of 8 saw it opening night and 1 of 8 is seeing it right now!–can’t wait to hear what she thinks–

looks like you all had a good time~!~

    Blessings!

  6. I absolutly agree with your candy circus peanuts description. Exactly how I felt about the books and the movie. As we walked out my sister and I commented to each other, what would it be like to be young and carefree again??….only to worry when the next time you could be together with your ‘crush?’ Then stare at each other for long awkward moments. So, since you asked that’s what I think!
