Wedding Bells

It’s a funny idea about the wedding bells. Who has those anymore? I didn’t. But I did wear a white dress and eat cake. And that all happened exactly 18 years ago today.

Eighteen years is a long time. It’s been mostly good. Hopefully we’ll be together for another eighteen more (hopefully even more than that.)

Love you, Mister!

P.S. If you’re wondering what the proper gift is for the 18th year, it’s an iphone (that’s what it says on my Hallmark calendar. Really!) I’ll be preordering mine tomorrow. I’m so desperate for it that I will be picking it up in Salt Lake shortly after my arrival there on the 24th. If you happen to see a middle-aged brunette woman quivering with joy at the Apple store in SLC, that will be me!

  1. Congratulations!!! I think an iPhone is the appropriate gift for any anniversary. Are you getting a new version 4? Sooooo jealous (in the I'm really happy and excited for you sort of way).

  2. 18. That is a pretty significant number for years married, at least I think it is. I am so happy to hear that you will be acquiring your brand spankin' new iphone in just a few short weeks. Oh what bliss will fill your home and all your waking moments when you have a new phone. I think that you better come up with something crazy wild for your 20th anniversary, this years is going to be tricky to top.

  3. Oh how I wish I could see you in those first few hours that you have your phone! Congrats on the anniversary….and the pre-order! 😉

  4. I knew there was something else on Ethan's Bday! Happy Anniversary!
p.s. Remind Darren how it was ME who talked him into finally getting up the nerve to "JUST PROPOSE ALREADY!!!"

  5. OMgoodness!! You are going to be in SLC on the 24th—-for how long? I will be there on the 22 until July 2nd….and I would love to meet you—since I already adore your sis! I will have to e-mail her…

  6. Happy Anniversary! May you have many, many more happy years together 🙂
It made me cringe to hear you call yourself "middle aged"! I never think of myself as middle aged (although I guess technically I am) and I don't think of you that way either (I know I haven't ever met you in person… but still!!) I guess I prefer not to think about it 😉 When my hubby and I celebrated our 19th in May, I remember thinking that it doesn't seem possible because I am waaayyyy too young to have been married that long!

  7. I'm so jealous that you're getting the iphone. I'm dying to know how that whole video chat thing works! And congratulations on 18 years!!

  8. Wow!! Happy anniversary!! And I SOOOOO want the new iphone! I'm debating between that and a new camera lens for my push present hehe. The other I guess I'll have to get for Christmas/Anniversary… If we're still spending money on ourselves then.
